Woman cut free after A58 smash

Police were forced to close the A58 and cut a woman free after a two-car crash on Sunday afternoon.

Fire fighters from Brighouse and Odsal were called to the junction of the A58 and Griffe Road in Wyke at 2pm.

A female passenger needed to be cut free from the vehicle she was in, which also contained a male driver.

The other vehicle contained three males.

The road was closed for over an hour while police cleared the debris from the carriageway,

The drivers and passengers were taken to hospital but none are thought to have serious injuries.
