Tributes to “friendly and courageous” police horse Fimber

Tributes have been paid to a much-loved police horse following his sudden death.

Fimber, aged 14, joined the Force in 2004 and served for 11 years. He died following an accident at Carr Gate, Wakefield, yesterday afternoon.

Superintendent Pat Casserly said, “We believe that Fimber was spooked whilst out in the paddock, causing him to attempt to vault the fences, when he collided with a wooden post.
