The hashtag calls for users to make a donation to support children with life shortening illnesses and their families.

Sean English, Chief Operating Officer at Grand Central, said: “At Grand Central Rail, we pride ourselves on the close links we have with the communities along our routes. Working in partnership with organisations like Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice allows us to support local causes that we know are close to the hearts of our passengers. We are really pleased to be a part of the #makeamoment campaign, which brings the communities along our routes together and celebrates the same ethos we have within Grand Central – to make a difference locally.”

Clare-Marie Taylor, Head of Marketing at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, said: “The #makeamoment campaign builds on what we do as an organisation – making special moments for local children and their families that they can cherish forever – and the funds raised during this campaign will do just that. We’re calling on people across the region to celebrate their own special moments, however small, and turn a normal Monday morning commute into something special for #makeamoment day. We’re looking forward to seeing the pictures of Grand Central passengers enjoying their surprise #makeamoment cakes this Monday and we are truly grateful for Grand Central’s support to help raise awareness of the local work that we do as a charity.”
