UPDATED: Motorway disruption after air ambulance called to M62 crash

Motorists face disruption as both directions on a stretch of the M62 are now closed after the air ambulance was called to a crash scene.

The emergency helicopter was called to the M62, westbound at Junction 32 near Castleford after the collision at around 3.30pm today.

And commuters face heavy delays after the incident, which has blocked the westbound and eastbound stretch of road, according to Highways England.

All three lanes in both directions are currently closed between Junction 32 and Junction at Ferrybridge.

Highways England’s traffic website estimates the incident will be cleared between 6.15pm and 6.30pm
