Vandals scrawl graffiti on gravestone in Elland church
Heartless vandals have scrawled graffiti over a church in Elland.
These shocking pictures show damage to the vestry, gravestone and lamp post at St Mary’s Church, Northgate.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 9.10pm on Wednesday to reports of vandalism at a church on Northgate, Elland.
“Graffiti is believed to have been painted on the side of the building. Local neighbourhood policing teams are continuing to patrol the area.”
