Video: Could this be Brighouse’s newest car wash?
As the rain continues to fall, people in Brighouse have found a unusual way to make use of the extra water.
Brighouse company Faith PR captured this video of a man deciding to clean his 4x4 vehicle in the ford.
A flood alert has been put in place for the River Calder.
The alert covers the river and its tributaries from Todmorden to Brighouse.

Hide AdAn Environment Agency spokesperson said: “Persistent rain is moving in from the west and is expected to fall over higher ground from this morning onwards.
“This is expected to continue throughout the day.”
