Fire crews remain at the scene of a huge blaze which broke out in an industrial building near Halifax yesterday (Sunday).
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said firefighters from Cleckheaton are still damping down at Cherry Tree Farm, Bowl Shaw Lane, near Northowram.
Brighouse Road has now reopened, but drivers faced traffic chaos yesterday as diversions were put in place.
Ten fire engines and firefighters from across the brigade were at the scene of the blaze, which broke out in an industrial building housing 25 HGVs and potentially explosive gases.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen for miles around.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: “One man was treated for smoke inhalation but fortunately there were no serious injuries as a result of the fire.
“The fire has not affected the farm house, but sadly the majority of the workshop area has been severely damaged and we estimate that around 40 wagons have been destroyed by fire.”
A fire investigator has also attended and their investigations into the cause are ongoing today.
It’s expected that firefighters will leave the site at some point today.
