VIDEO: Rushbearing Festival is raring to go despite rainy showers

Rain didn’t deter crowds from turning out to watch the beginning of the Rushcart procession from St John’s Church, Warley.

Performances from Thieving Magpie, Knots of May and Rampant Rooster kicked off the day in style and there will be plenty of opportunities to soak up the atmosphere, as the procession winds its way to Sowerby Bridge this afternoon.
