St George’s Church, Lee Mount, Halifax, welcomes you to get green fingered and help clear up in their Community Garden Project.
Vicar Gordon Barley said: “The church graveyard has been neglected and is an eyesore in the community so we need to transform the drab area into a place of natural colour and beauty. You don’t need green fingers to join in the fun as everyone is welcome, just come along and say hello.”
People are asked to bring their garden tools and any plants or bulbs.
Gardening dates are 21-24 May and Saturday May 25, 9am-4pm. Refreshments will be provided for volunteers.
