Police are appealing for information after a bottle of potentially harmful prescription drugs was stolen.

The Wakefield North West NPT are urging anyone who comes across a 100ml bottle of Oramorph prescription drugs not to consume it and to contact them after some was reported stolen.

A bottle was reported taken from the Ossett area overnight on May 29, 2013 and police are carrying out enquiries into the matter.

It is believed a 10ml dose - roughly 2 teaspoons - would be sufficient to make an average person unconsciousness.

If the bottle was to be consumed in one go it could prove extremely harmful.

Anyone who comes across the bottle is urged not to consume the contents and to contact the North West NPT on 101 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
