The incident is on Pheasant Drive, Birstall.

All emergency services are on scene and dealing with the blaze, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.

Dramatic footage and pictures supplied to the Yorkshire Evening Post by John Tante show crews using hoses on the flames - with huge plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

The force asked that all members of the public stay away from the area to allow officers and the fire service to safely deal with the incident.

West Yorkshire Police added: "We also request that all local residents close all windows and doors."

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service told the Yorkshire Evening Post they were also on the scene.

They said in a statement: "Our crews are currently in attendance at a fire just off Pennine View, Birstall.

"We're advising all local residents to keep windows and doors shut."
