WATCH: The 'Markle Martini' and the 'Ginger Mojito' - how to make Halifax's ultimate royal wedding-themed cocktails

Excitement is building ahead of the royal wedding on Saturday, with businesses, bars and restaurants around Calderdale gearing up for the big day.

None more so than Yates' on Silver Street, who are laying on a pair of specially-designed cocktails to mark the right royal occasion.

They've created the Prince Harry-inspired 'Ginger Mojito' alongside the 'Markle Martini', which will be available as part of a two-for-one offer and will be served alongside their big-screen showing of the ceremony.

Assistant manager Kurt Spruce, who also acts as the site's Cocktail Champion, said that the day is an exciting opportunity for bars in Calderdale.

He said: "We're very excited. We've got a lot of football on on Saturday also, but we're making sure that the royal wedding is the focus.

"People can reserve seats if they want and the FA Cup will be shown afterwards. We've got extra staff on and we're expecting a lot of people in."

There are a host of other pubs showing the day's events including The Jubilee on Market Street and The Cock & Bottle on Common Lane, who are hosting all-day parties.
