Last Tango in Halifax will waltz back on to our screens this Christmas with a two-part festive special.
Set two years after Kate’s tragic death, the episodes will see Caroline (Sarah Lancashire) coming to terms with yet more changes in her life.
With a new job at a very different school, a new family home in Huddersfield and a chance encounter with a potential love interest, could things be looking up for her and her children?
A possible move is less welcomed by Celia (Anne Reid) and Alan (Derek Jacobi) but their attentions are more focused on setting the world of amateur dramatics alight as Celia lands a leading role in the local production of Blithe Spirit.
Meanwhile, Gillian is struggling to come to terms with issues from her past that are coming back to haunt her. Can she be strong enough to stop them affecting her relationship with Robbie (Dean Andrews)?
The two-parter will begin on Monday 19th December followed by the concluding part the next evening – Tuesday 20th December – both at 9pm on BBC1.
