Crowd favourite Mark Cavendish was awarded the loudest ovation of all the riders as Halifax prepared to see off the Tour de Yorkshire 2018 finale.
The Max sprinter, who's mother is from Harrogate, told the crowd how he was impressed by the Piece Hall building and thanked them for supporting him.
Thousands took advantage of stunning weather and lined the streets as stage four of this year's race commenced.
After winding its way through North Yorkshire, it will finish at around 5pm in Leeds.
