The Environment Agency have successfully silent tested the flood sirens in Calderdale.

Buses will stop at 5pm, while disruption is expected across much of the Northern Rail network this weekend.

A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Upper and Lower River Calder catchment, which means flooding is possible.

Sowerby Bridge hub is open today from 2pm and also Brighouse and Hebden Bridge will now open tomorrow (Sunday) in addition to today, say Calderdale Council.

Storm Dennis comes only a week after the Calder Valley was hit by Storm Ciara, which left areas severely flooded, some of which are still recovering.
