Updated: Met Office issues weather warning for rain
The yellow “be aware” warning for Yorkshire and the Humber is valid between 6pm today (Thursday) to 9am on Friday.
The public should be aware of traffic disruption and the cancellation of outdoor events.

Hide AdA Met Office spokesperson said: “Outbreaks of rain will become heavy at times through Thursday evening and night across parts of eastern England. Although not all areas will see heavy rainfall, where it does occur some local surface water flooding is possible. Rain is likely to become confined to the extreme southeast by Friday morning.
“The public should be aware of the risk of local disruption to transport and outdoor events.”
