TWO international sportswomen were wed at a ceremony in Clifton over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Melanie Garside and Gillian Wight, who live in Southawram, were married on Saturday at the Black Horse Inn in Westgate.
Family and friends from all over the country attended the wedding, with a large contingent of Gillian's family making the trip down from Aberdeen.
Gillian wore a traditional white dress and Melanie wore a grey suit.
Melanie represented England at football in 1998.
She now captains Bradford City Women's team in the Northern Women's Combination League.
Her partner Gillian has also played sport for her country.
She shot clay pigeons for Scotland in an Internation in Ireland in 1997.
The couple met two years ago through mutual friends and now plan to travel to Aruba in the Caribbean for their honeymoon.
Gillian said: "It has been a fabulous day.
"People have come from all over to be here and everything has gone according to plan."
