Everyone got in the party spirit this weekend to help Eureka celebrate its 20th birthday.
Visitors flocked to the children’s museum on Saturday and Sunday for party games, bird displays, balloon model-making and magic shows with Eureka’s Dan the Magic Man.
Duty manager and Eureka’s financial director Andy Forbes said: “It was a good birthday vibe.
“We had a food bus, teaching the kids how to make healthy snacks, a falconry display with falcons and owls flying around the grounds.
“We also had a balloon drop at 1pm each day with everyone singing happy birthday to Eureka.
“It was very busy, it was really good.”
Eureka has an exciting year ahead with the opening of a new £2.9m gallery, planned for next April, to replace the Me and My Body gallery which has been at the museum for 20 years.
Mr Forbes said: “For 20 years we’ve been a big part of a lot of people’s lives. We’ve had parents bringing their children back, who were children themselves when we first opened.
“We feel like we’ve done a lot over the 20 years and wanted to celebrate that.”
