YOUNG wildlife enthusiasts got foraging to help their village’s In Bloom team.
Members of Luddenden First Brownies collected sticks, hay, straw and canes to make a bug hotel for insects to live and hibernate in. The hotel will be placed in the middle of wild flowers planted by the Brownies and Girl Guides by the side of Luddenden Brook.
All their efforts are to support Luddenden’s entry in this year’s Britain in Bloom contest, which is being judged in August.
After winning the village section of Yorkshire in Bloom in 2010, Luddenden has been invited to represent Yorkshire in this year’s national contest.
