What’s open over Easter

There are the usual bout of changes to services across Calderdale during the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Trains will be running as normal from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

The buses will run a normal weekend service throughout the region on Saturday and Easter Sunday.

But there will be a Saturday service tomorrow and a Sunday service on Easter Monday.

The waste recycling centres at Brighouse, Elland, Todmorden and Sowerby Bridge will be open as normal on tomorrow and Saturday. All the sites will be closed on Easter Sunday and Monday.

The Halifax site at Lee Mount remains closed until the summer for refurbishing work.

All bin collections, including recycling, will take place a day later then normal next week.

The following chemists will be open tomorrow: Asda, Thrum Hall (9am to 6pm); Boots, Halifax (8am to 6.30pm); Calderdale Health Focus, King Cross (9am to 8pm); Sainsbury’s, Halifax (8am to 10pm); Tesco, King Cross (6.30am to 10.30pm); Boots, Ovenden (10am to 4pm); Boots, Brighouse (8.30 to 5.30pm); and Boots, Todmorden (9am to 5pm).

Only three are open on Easter Sunday: Calderdale Health Focus, King Cross (10am to 8pm); The Mini Clinic, Luddenden Foot (4pm tp 5pm); Shelf Pharmacy (11am to 12pm); Ryburn Pharmacy, Elland (4pm to 5pm).

On Easter Monday: Asda, Thrum Hall (9am-6pm); Boots, Halifax (10am-4pm); Calderdale Health Focus, King Cross (10am-8pm); Sainsbury’s, Halifax (9am-7pm); Tesco, King Cross (9am -6pm); Shelf Pharmacy (11am-noon); Stainland Pharmacy (4-5pm); Grange Dene Medical Centre, Mytholmroyd (4-5pm).

Brighouse Pool and Fitness Centre, Elland swimming pool and Halifax pool will open from 7am to 2pm tomorrow and Easter Monday. Saturday and Sunday are normal hours

North Bridge Leisure Centre will open tomorrow from 7am to 6pm and from 7am to 4pm on Easter Monday.
