A HALIFAX couple who moved to Australia are back in their home town for the first time in 43 years – and are trying to track their family down.
Rod Sadler, 75, and his wife Frida, 73, moved to Australia in 1968.
Although Frida has made contact with her family, Rod wants to track down his brothers and sisters, who he has lost touch with.
He wants to find John, Stephen and Judith Anderson and Jackie Sadler.
Rod and Frida moved to Australia with just $58 in their pockets. Now they have four children and love the Aussie lifestyle.
They now live in Melbourne and decided to take a trip back to Yorkshire for six weeks.
Rod said: “We’re looking forward to the holiday and my wife has found most of her relations.
“But none of mine know I’m here because we lost contact.”
The couple are staying in a rented cottage in Ogden for their holiday.
If you are, or know their family, they can be contacted on 07943 652550.
