Woman attempts to steal money from pensioner in Todmorden
The incident happened on Monday March 14 at around 10.45am, when the woman approached the 83-year-old as he left Todmorden Post Office, on Brook Street.
She asked him the time as he turned into Calder Street and she then attempted to remove his pension money from his coat pocket.
He confronted her and she ran off empty handed.

Hide AdThe suspect is described as around 5ft 2”, slim build with dark hair; she spoke with a broken English accent and wearing all black clothing.
PC Jonathan Sutton, of Calderdale District Police, said: “We are hoping to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident in Todmorden or have seen this suspect in the area.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact myself via 101 quoting reference 13160112414 or if they believe they have been victim to a similar incident report again ring 101 to report it.”
