Work begins on new school

A multi-million pound project to build a new school and expand the number of students has begun.

The new build at All Saints Catholic College is taking place on part of the sports fields at the current campus off Bradley Road near Brighouse.

When the new building is completed the old school will be demolished and new sports facilities built on the site. The number of students attending will increase from 650 to 900.

Head teacher Miss Anita Bodurka said: “This is a significant day for All Saints Catholic College. Everyone has worked so hard to create a school that the students, staff, Governors and parents can be proud of, the existing school has seen many thousands of students come and go and they will all have fond memories of their time at All Saints.

“But the new school will give the future students a better learning environment to learn in and I am sure they will also leave with very fond memories of their education”

The school hopes to have the project completed for September 2017.
