World record Le Tour bunting to be sold off
The 12,115.84m array of coloured bunting, made up of 52,939 flags, beat the previous record of 10km.
The bunting, which residents fashioned from curtains, tablecloths and even a butcher’s apron, measures more than seven miles.

Hide AdVolunteers with the help of three cherry pickers hung the bunting from fences, trees, lamp posts and gate posts along the country’s longest continuous road climb.
It will be sold at Saturday’s Cragg Vale Country Fair at The Hinchliffe Arms, which runs from 12 noon until 4pm.
All proceeds will go to the Calder Valley Search and Rescue and the suggested minimum donation will be £1.00 for 10 metres.
Sharon Le Corre, from the Le Tour Cragg group, who organised the world record, said: “We have had loads and loads of really positive comments about how great the bunting looked and how great it was in bringing the community together.”
