Yachting fans push the boat out
Visitors were on the crest of a wave as Halifax Sailing Club held an open day as part of the Royal Yachting Association's national Push the Boat Out festival.
The event attracted enthusiasts from across the North to come and try their hand at sailing around Warley Moor reservoir on the tops above Wainstalls.
Chief Instructor, Sue Lamb, said: “It was a wonderful day with very light winds which was brilliant. It was also a very warm day too. Around 80 people turned up and a couple of them inquired about joining.”
John Midgley tweeted: “Fantastic open day at Halifax Sailing Club. Loads of people got out there and had a go.”
