Come on in - the water’s lovely

Come on people of Elland, Greetland and Stainland we don’t have many facilities in our area, what we do have (at the moment) is a great little swimming pool which, if it isn’t used we will lose.

It may be an old Victorian pool but the changing rooms are clean and the staff friendly.

Since Christmas the schools no longer go, presumably transported through to the new pool at Brighouse – how much is that costing the Calderdale rate payer?

I’ve been going early morning and on three occasions have had the pool all to myself from 9am.

Brilliant for me, but for how much longer? So come on, you don’t need someone to go with, it’s relatively cheap, an excellent form of exercise and on a main bus route.

I know this has been an ongoing saga but please don’t let Elland lose yet another amenity and parents will have to go out of town for their children to learn to swim, another major reason for it to continue.
