Doctors’ patients have frustrations too

Browning Avenue

I was interested to read the article that more than 7,500 patients failed to turn up for their GP appointments in one month, and the frustration experienced by staff and other patients.

To make such headline grabbing statistics have a more balanced view could I please ask you to publish statistics of how many patients did attend for their appointments and were actually seen on time.

I count myself very fortunate that I seldom need to visit the doctors but have an increasing level of frustration that I have never been seen at the time of my appointment, irrespective of whether it is at the start, middle or towards the end of surgery.

Perhaps it’s also time to listen to the frustrations of patients.
