Letter: Hold food market in the Piece Hall
Once again a very successful International Street Food Market (October 26-29) on the precinct and surrounding streets.
The streets were very busy and it probably took trade away from Greggs and local cafes but brought many people from outside Halifax.
But one question: why was this event not held in The Piece Hall? The amount of money spent on The Piece Hall was enormous, so let’s claw some revenue back. Surely all these out of town traders pay a rent? Like Greggs and co?
