Our Sowerby Bridge ‘secret’

Low Laithes

I feel I have a duty to spread the word in relation to the little jewel in the Sowerby Bridge crown.

Following the refurbishment of a beautiful traditional pub, ‘Williams’ has emerged. Being local to Sowerby Bridge my husband and I were regulars at the old William and ventured into the new. As well as being a public house, a menu was introduced. We tested the waters one Sunday and have certainly never looked back. Whilst we wanted to spread the word, we were reluctant to do so as this was our little secret, so to speak.

Over Christmas the blackboard on the bar indicated that in January there would be a two course meal for £11.95 to include a bottle of wine per couple.

Being a January baby I suggested to my husband that we go for my birthday. One thing led to another and last Saturday Williams catered for 18 diners to assist in my celebrations. Philip’s menu was creative and inspiring, the execution without fault. Leanne and her team looked after everyone from the moment they arrived with a smile and a real sense of professionalism. I didn’t even have to spend my evening sorting out the bill, everything was done for me.

I suppose I write this initally to spread the word, but also to say a public thank you to Philip, Leanne and all the team at Williams.
