Shibden Grange Drive
WHEN parking my car in Crossley Street I was in doubt about my parking position. I noticed I was beyond the parking bays allotted. Although I was on double yellow lines and was opposite a no-loading notice I do have a disabled badge.
Walking up Crossley Street was an on-duty traffic warden. I enquired if I was in order where I was parked. His reply was you are in order to park if you display your disabled badge. This I did and two weeks later when parked in the same spot was fined £70 (if paid within a certain time £35). I have paid this fine, under duress because I am not guilty.
What a rip off. Why do we bother to stay within the law?
