On the 22nd September this year I went to the Actors Workshop Youth Theatre Company to watch scenes from Shakespear (Macbeth, A Midsummers Night’s Dream and Coriolanus).
I wanted to write to the Courier to sing their praises for a truly enjoyable evening.
Here we have a group of young people together demonstrating all that is wonderful about humanity namely respect, awareness, confidence, humility, compassion and damn good acting and directing. Well done to all involved.
As ever the programme for the show was entertaining in its own right and with Philip Ralph, the Workshop has its own in house Frank Owen - Ragged Trousered Philanthropists.
P.S. To the young blond haired actor whose elderly grandmother came to watch him on her own and who relied on the use of a zimmer frame, you are blessed to have such a strong minded women for a grandma. It is cool to be in the company of older people and for older to be in the company of younger ones.
