Take licences off repeat offenders

I write to draw attention to the dangerous practice of motorists parking their cars on designated roadside cycleways, thus forcing riders to move out into a stream of often speeding, potentially lethal traffic; or to mount the pavement, an action rightly criticised by pedestrians.

Such sights are, in my experience, commonplace in Calderdale and indeed elsewhere.

Parking on cycleways should, I believe, be illegal and such breaches incur serious penalties, including withdrawal of the driving licence from repeating offenders.
