Claremount Nursing Home
I AM a resident of the above home and the room I am in during the day looks straight on to the graveyard where the man jumped into the mine during the early hours of Sunday morning (“Fleeing raider falls down well”, Courier, March 28).
I am told four ambulances, four fire engines, lots of police, rescue vans, etc, came to get him out.
During the day cameras taking photographs of the scene. Then came two cars with five policemen, taking around 10 minutes to put a tape across the wall, where he jumped. I ask you. FIVE policemen, what a waste of time. It passed the time of day for me anyway.
