Why I hope the ban goes ahead

I HOPE the proposal to clamp down on dog fouling, by banning them from sports fields and playgrounds and keeping them on leads in parks and footpaths comes to fruition (Courier, September 14).

You have to watch every step you take here in Bairstow Lane because of this menace. I can’t even enjoy a stroll in nearby Crow Wood Park because of it. The park’s a disgrace.

I’ve been told the park’s so bad because someone nearby is home boarding dogs, which has been the subject of recent letters in “Your say” including the RSPCA pointing out that such homes need to be licensed.

I’m looking forward to walks in the future when I can admire the view instead of watching the ground all the time.
