Young are right to want plaque for bomb site

I HAVE just read the article “bomb drops in Halifax” in the Courier (yoursay, March 5) and would like to agree with the young people of Ravenscliffe High School.

Being 52 years old, I too wasn’t born when this tragic event happened and only learned a little bit of what happened from my father. I did not know how many people were killed or their names.

Surely there must be a plaque to inform Halifax people that there were civilian deaths in Calderdale and also for the family and friends that were left behind.
