While chains like Nandos and Greggs already have exclusive loyalty cards, McDonald’s lovers have been asking for one for years.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “After years of requests, McDonald’s is launching a VIP Gold Card… No Brit Award required.”

The VIP Gold Card will entitle the holder to a free meal a week for a whole year via the My McDonald’s app, which is available on iOS and Android devices.

How do I get one?

However, there’s just one way to get an exclusive McDonald’s Gold Card. A spokesperson for McDonald’s explained: “The only way you can get your hands on a McDonald’s Gold Card is to play, if Stormzy and Ed Sheeran want one, they’ll have to play [McDonald’s] Monopoly.”
