Lightcliffe miss out in Twenty/20 final

Lightcliffe Cricket Club missed out on winning the Dyson Energy Services Twenty/20 Cup for the first time after they were beaten by Morley.

The floodlit final at Wagon Lane, Bingley, saw Morley win by six wickets and scoop their first trophy since joining the JCT600 Bradford League 15 years ago.

Morley’s overseas player Kashif Naveed was the man who did the damage making an undefeated 65 off 35 balls as they successfully chased down Lightcliffe’s total of 126-7.
