Todmorden’s Lancashire League game away to champions Burnley was washed out after the champions had powered to 268 for six off their 50 overs.

Burnley-born Vishal Tripathi (75) and professional Chris Holt (116) put on 177 for the first wicket.

Tod skipper Andrew Sutcliffe and Hamza Ali each took three wickets to limit the damage.

In the Huddersfield League, Elland got a helping hand from the weather at Hoylandswaine but could not take advantage.

The hosts made 272 for seven declared after 44.2 overs with Michael Cranmer (81) and opener Gharib Nawaz (58) showing the way.

The Hullen Edge men were left chasing 159 to win after a rain break but limped to 73 for seven with Muhammad Wadee (41) the only visiting batsman to make an impact.
