Whiteley is new PR chief
The Foster’s Halifax Cricket League has appointed a new PR and media manager, Paul Whiteley.
The Sowerby Bridge-based former secretary of the Yorkshire Champions Trophy and the Huddersfield Cricket League takes over from Geoff Wright, who now has a different role on the executve.
Wright, who has been press secretary since 2006, will oversee the league’s representative team matches and be the co-ordinator for the league’s knockout finals.
One of the main reasons for the change is the explosion of social media and the extra work connected with the re-launched league website.
