Crow Nest's Turner to be president
Crow Nest Golf Club's John Turner will hold the top post in the Halifax, Huddersfield and District Union in 2017.
The local Union’x executive has voted unanimously for the Hove Edge club member to become president elect in 2016. He will then step up to be president the following year.
Turner, 65, is a former Halifax Building Society executive,
He was Club Captain of Crow Nest in 2000 and then president for nine years.
His appointment will be rubber stamped by representatives of the 23 clubs in the Halifax-Huddersfield Union at their AGM on March 8.
