Ex-Thrum Haller Traill dies, aged 75

Halifax's loose-forward in their 1956 Wembley team, Ken Traill, has died aged 75.

It follows just two months after the death of the 1954 Wembley loose-forward Des Clarkson.

Great Britain international Traill played 90 times for Halifax between 1955 and 1958 after signing from Bradford Northern. He had earlier played for Hunslet and later appeared for Wakefield Trinity for whom he became a highly rated coach.

Traill had been ill for some time before his death.
