Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees: Funeral planning advice

On October 21, from 11am - 2pm at Age UK’s Huddersfield, Upperhead Row, office and on October 23, from 11am - 2pm, at Age UK’s Halifax office, Woolshops, the public is invited to meet with experienced members of the team to discuss organising a funeral and saving for it with the charity’s Funeral Plan.

Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees insurance supervisor Susan Cromack said: “The rise in living costs and low interest on savings makes planning ahead more important now than ever before. Taking out a funeral plan makes financial sense, as you’re effectively paying for your funeral at today’s prices. This not only means that the worry and financial burden won’t fall on relatives, but it also ensures that your personal wishes can be carried out, which can be a great source of comfort for family at an upsetting time.”
