Brighouse Town will be in good heart for tomorrow’s home game with Spennymoor in division one of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League tomorrow after a stunning comeback to snatch a 2-2 draw at Kendal on Saturday.
The Hove Edge side trailed 2-0 with a minute of added time played at the end of the contest.
Ryan Hall scored what looked likely to be a consolation goal from the penalty spot and in the 94th minutes a Dave Melling shot was deflected in by Tyrone Gay to snatch a point.
It had been a fairly torrid day for Town up to then. Traffic problems meant most of the players didn’t arrive until 40 minutes before kick off and goals from Kieran Pickup on 38 minutes and Maison McGeechan three minutes after half time left them up against it.
It was Town’s third draw since promotion. They have also had four wins and one defeat to stand eighth in the table.
