Town won 2-1 at Kidderminster on Saturday, and can move above them in the table if they win at Brackley, who drew 0-0 at home to Boston on Saturday.

Brackley are eighth in the table and could go within four points of the top-five if they win on Tuesday, which is their game in hand on the teams above them.

If they lose, Brackley will be seven points off the play-offs with only five games remaining.

A win for Halifax would also give them a six-point cushion on sixth-place with five games to go.

Only Fylde and Darlington have scored more goals in the league than Halifax, with only Fylde winning more away games.

Only Chroley and Kidderminster have conceded fewer goals than Brackley in the division, but they have only scored four goals in their last six games since thrashing Telford 6-0 last month.

James Armson is their top scorer with 21 goals but he has not scored in Brackley’s previous six and has only one in the club’s last 10 games.

Billy Heath said midfielder Danny Clarke looks doubtful with a bruised foot and did not expect to have any injured players back fit for the game.

The Town boss has called on his team to show the same level of character they displayed to win on Saturday.

“The players said in the changing room when they came in )at Kidderminster) , ‘we’ve got to make sure we back it up at Brackley’ so they know what the prize is and where we want to be,” he said..

“Now we’ve got to show the character to get there.”
