Tom Haigh’s fine early goal counted for little as Brighouse Town were overhauled and beaten 2-1 at Lancaster City yesterday.
Paul Quinn’s men slipped a place to ninth in the Evo Stik Northern Premier League’s first division.
Haigh struck after seven minutes, his shot with the outside of his foot finding the corner of the net from 20 yards.
However, Tom Kilifin equalised on 24 minutes and Ryan Winder scored what turned out to be the winner four minutes after the break for the hosts, who are 11th.
Brighouse gave a debut in goal to local teenager Chandler Hallwood, signed on loan from Bradford City.
Brighouse’s next opponents are 16th placed Droylsden, who visit Hove Edge next Saturday. Droylsden drew 1-1 at Trafford yesterday.
