Brighouse Town made it two wins in four days with a 1-0 success away to Farsley Celtic last night.

Leon Henry got the all-important goal in the 78th minute as the Hove Edge men followed up Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Paul Quinn’s side now have seven points from four games and have climbed to ninth in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier’s first division north table.

Henry’s winner followed a Tom Haigh corner, the ball bouncing around before the Town man applied a finish.

Ryan Hall had caused problems for Farsley in the first half with his tricky running. He hit the bar and post with an effort on 17 minutes and then fired wide from a decent position three minutes later.

Jimmy Pollard’s long-range effort from a short corner had brought a fine save in the opening 45 minutes.

Town now host Atherton in the cup on Saturday before travelling to Scarborough Athletic, who have won their opening four fixtures, on Bank Holiday Monday.
