Brighouse Town have been drawn away to near neighbours Silsden in the preliminary round of the FA Cup. The game will be played on Saturday, August 11 with a 3pm kick-off
The contest will provide Town with a good early test against a very good team and one which manager Paul Quinn’s side will relish.
Quinn will no doubt be looking to progress as far as possible in the competition and look to put together a good run which would bring prestige and valuable prize-money into the club.
A fine run in last season’s Northern Counties East League Premier Division campaign has meant that Brighouse have received two byes in the early rounds of the FA Vase.
As a result they begin their Wembley trail against either Hall Road Rangers, who finished 16th in the NCEL Premier Division last season, or Oldham based Chadderton FC who play in the North West Counties League First Division.
The game will take place on October 13 (3.0).
Both prospective opposition possess a lot of quality and Quinn said: “It is up to the players and the coaching staff to ensure we hit the ground running and try and put together a bit of a run in every competition we enter.”
