Colne v FC Halifax Town LIVE
Town team
Halifax: Stott, Minihan, Debrah, Arthur, Triallist, Summerfield, Hunter, Cooke, Capello, Harker, Alli. Subs: Aliyu, Sinfield, Furtado, English.
Town at Curzon
It’s 3-0 to Town now, with Mani Dierseruvwe scoring twice, adding to Matty Warburton’s first half penalty
Would have thought Clarke will follow in his brother Nathan’s footsteps and be announced as captain now. Looks a superb leadership group at the club with the likes of Clarke, Summerfield, Keane and Minihan. All seem to be excellent characters who will be the senior figures in the changing room
Strongest 11
For argument’s sake, here’s a potential Town starting 11 at Barnet next week (if everyone’s fit and still at the club)
Johnson, Minihan, Debrah, Clarke, Senior, Keane, Spence, Warburton, Smart, Slew, Dierseruvwe
Not bad at all, especially considering the rebuild job that’s been needed. Very strong spine in particular, considering that doesn’t include Festus Arthur, Jamie Stott, Jack Hunter, Jamie Cooke, Harvey Gilmour or Rob Harker
Weather’s a bit drizzly and grey here at Colne. Sky very overcast. Start of the season just a week away now
With Chris Millington at Curzon, assistant manager Andy Cooper is overseeing pre-match prep here at Colne, at least until the manager hot-foots it from one game to the other
Expected line-up
Just trying to think who else will be involved here at Colne today, certainly think we’ll see Tom Scott, Minihan, Debrah, Arthur, Hunter, Summerfield, Harker, Alli, Capello, Cooke and Slew. Might have missed one or two others there
