Eastleigh 3-3 Halifax: Fans Panel verdict
Adam Heslop
Man of the match
Steve ‘Neuer’ Drench pulled off some spectacular saves to keep us in the hat for the next round. The team hasn’t been the same without him.
Moment of the match
Had to be that first goal. Given our last few results there was a worry that on going a goal down the team would give up. They certainly didn’t and kept going until the final whistle.

Hide AdThere’s lots to like about Billy Heath, however reluctance to change things is starting to become frustrating. The long ball up to big Tom Denton just isn’t working at the moment so why stick with that plan for the first 45 minutes of every game?

Man of the match
Jordan Sinnott. He was at the heart of everything good that we did going forward. When he’s on form, we always look like scoring.
Moment of the match
That “might have been” scenario, when Tom Denton’s header was turned round the post right at the death. Overall, we performed very well; let’s have a repeat next Tuesday, please!
Moan of the match
Conceding the second goal. At a crucial point in the match, our defence suddenly goes AWOL. Nathan Hotte was completely exposed, and once past him the Eastleigh forward scored easily.

Hide AdSteve Drench. Made some great saves in the game at important times. His best performance so far for The Shaymen.
Moment of the match
92nd minute, scores level at 3-3, Tom Denton almost wins it for The Shaymen with a great header. The home keeper saves the day for Eastleigh, imagine the fun if that went in.
Moan of the match
Moments after The Shaymen go 3-1 up and running the game, another moment of madness gives Eastleigh a goal back and it’s game on instead of game over.
