Kit Walton

Man of the match – Both centre halves were superb, but Sam Graham gets it for me. He is learning quickly, and never put a foot wrong. Very creditable for a man who (according to the Sheffield United website) was born on New Years Day 1901, making him 117 years old!

Moment of the match – I’m guessing we’ll all choose Town’s second goal. Some great off the ball running by Connor Oliver gave Tomlinson the chance to thread a delightful ball through for Fondop-Talom to provide an exquisite dink over the keeper.

Moan of the match - Slight worry that we again started the second half too slowly. Also that Connor Thompson (who was out on his feet) was substituted 20 minutes too late, leading some fans to suggest he’s “not interested”. My main concern though, is that if we continue playing like this I’m going to have to learn some new superlatives...

Rob Brown

Man of the match - Matty Brown, Matty scored the opening goal with a cracking header but his best contribution was his commitment to the team. A proper captain’s performance.

Moment of the match - 64th minute, Mike Fondop-Talom chipped the ball over the Boreham Wood goalkeeper to score the winner. After his wild attempt on goal in the last home game, Mike’s winning goal seemed to take ages to reach the back of the net with a real tough of finesse.

Moan of the match - with 94 yellow cards and 5 red cards so far this season for the Shaymen, it was a real disappointment not to see the 100th misdemeanour recognised by the clown of a referee. C’mon ref, get ‘em booked!

Man of the match - Mike Fondop-Talom. Worked his socks off, showed great desire and capped it off with an excellent finish for the winning goal.

Moment of the match - Has to be Fondop-Talom’s brilliant chipped goal which swung the tie back in Town’s favour after Boreham Wood had started the second half well.

Moan of the match - A win against a play-off challenging side with two quality goals means nothing to moan about this week!

Adam Heslop

Man of the match - Without a doubt Matty Brown deserves this, not only did he score the first goal but he also defended brilliantly ensuring Town kept all three crucial points.

Moment of the match - As Matty Brown’s header went in not only elation but also relief was evident around the Shay. He kept a cool head under pressure and scored after some others missed such clear cut chances.

Moan of the match - The lads really need to come out after half time with more passion, they seem to fall asleep in that 15 minutes after the break. Come on

Town safety is within your grasp, let’s take it!!
